প্লাস্টিক ও পলিথিন থেকে ডিজেল ও পেট্রল উৎপাদন প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেছেন নারায়ণগঞ্জ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র ডা. সেলিনা হায়াৎ আইভী। সোমবার বেলা সাড়ে ১১টায় ফতুল্লার পঞ্চবটি এলাকায় অবস্থিত জৈব সার উৎপাদন কেন্দ্রে এই প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করা হয়।
সেলিনা হায়াৎ আইভী বলেন, ছোটবেলায় শুনতাম ছাই থেকে নাকি স্বর্ণ পাওয়া যেত। এখন দেখি সত্যি সত্যি ছাই দিয়েও টাকা ইনকাম করা যায়। নতুনভাবে এই প্রকল্পের শুরু করলাম, আপাতত ৫০০ কেজি পলিথিন পুড়িয়ে এই জ্বালানি উৎপাদন করা হবে। দেশের মধ্যে প্রথম বড় পরিসরে এই প্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু করা হবে।
