After being teased for the latter half of 2021, Himiway finally unveiled its new full suspension electric fat bike, the Himiway Cobra, just before the holidays.
We’ve finally gotten our hands on the bike and put it through the wringer. In this Himiway Cobra review, we test its climbing ability, battery range and how well it performs off-road to get an idea of what you can expect of the bike in real world conditions.
To put it simply, the Cobra is one hell of an e-bike for not a lot of money. It’s big, powerful, and built on a full-suspension chassis that’s functional and implements a few lessons learned from the book of modern eMTB geometry. Though it’s a little too big and unwieldy to be a purebred eMTB, the Cobra shreds fire road and backcountry double track. It’s a ton of fun, and definitely worth a look.
The Cobra was certainly spec’d pretty well. It comes with a 750W rear hub motor with 86Nm of torque, 960Wh integrated battery, dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes, full suspension, and massive 4.8" tires.
