In this, the final episode of our MTB Skills and Tips with Andrew Neethling series, Andrew covers the more advanced techniques of jumping. He explains the difference between a ‘drop’ and a ‘jump’ then dives into more detail on the skills needed for each.
Again, body positioning is extremely important for jumping, particularly being proactive with your body position and not letting the bike dictate or terrain dictate. Andrew advises starting with small drops and jumps, and gradually building up in height and difficulty, through many hours of practice.
