One of the most important steps of the ebike building process is tuning the electric system. This is a highly involved process that requires matching the motor and control systems with the optimal settings to get the best performance and efficiency.
All of our bikes start with a base tune. Once the bike is test ridden, we then go into our software and fine tune all the parameters including: throttle modulation, PAS sensor accuracy and power levels, motor phase amps, battery phase amps, and the torque curves just to name a few. These settings affect the power delivery and efficiency of the system. Every system (especially hub motors) requires slight modifications of these parameters to perform to the standards we set that maximizes efficiency with a smooth power delivery.
Once the settings are verified on our dyno and final test ride, we are finally able to sign off on the bike! We believe a little extra leg work goes a long way and always ensures our customers get the best performing bike out of the box!
