A biker friend suggested a challenge to ride a motorcycle from Britain’s most easterly to most westerly points in a day, without using motorways.
How could I say no?
Note: I’d love to do this on electric motorbike. Sadly, no available electric motorbike currently exists which would do this journey at the rapid (DC) charging speeds required and at the required comfort levels to ride for the hours involved.
I await the launch of an electric touring bike with screen, fairings, luggage, and most importantly, true rapid charging. I’ll happily own a 100 mile range touring bike which will recharge in 20-30 minutes on a DC charging basis.
So I rode this my journey on my trusty Honda CBF 1000, which hit 85,000 miles in the course of this journey.
