With a 2013 Tesla Model S up on jack-stands and the battery removed, we can get a good view at the Rapid Mate connectors!

These vehicles were originally designed so that it would be capable of quickly swapping batteries. For example to change out a freshly charged battery for a discharged one for ultra-fast "refueling". (https://youtu.be/Oj6LaYFall4?si=0tSFVakPC89xZlXt&t=40)

That means that the battery connections are not bolted in place. Instead, they are on spring-loaded mounts which provide pressure to push the connections into the battery pack as it is raised into position under the vehicle.

There are two connectors – High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV)

If you remove/replace the battery make sure that the connections and the spring-loaded mounts are clean, lubed, and centered before installing the battery. Not doing so can lead to many issues.

For example, this vehicle was originally purchased as non-running.
I removed the battery, cleaned out water from the main fuse, replaced the fuse cover, and routed the air-conditioning drain AWAY from the top of the battery pack. After re-installing the battery, everything worked great EXCEPT it would NOT Super-Charge! No errors. The car ran fine. Charged on 120 or 240VAC normally. It was frustrating.
Finally, I found a post on a forum indicating to check the low-voltage Rapid Mate connector. I pushed it down a tiny bit more, and that FIXED the problem!
