SRAM Eagle Powertrain | How to: Perform Battery Basics

Your Eagle Powertrain bike contains a primary system battery that powers the motor, the AXS Bridge Display, as well as your Eagle Transmission derailleur. You should expect to charge this battery before your first ride, and again after every ride.

Battery range is controlled by several factors like how you ride, the terrain, and which ride mode you utilize. Eagle Powertrain batteries offer enough capacity for most EMTB rides, but it takes a couple rides to fully understand your battery range.

Follow these steps for charging the battery on the bike.
1. Open the charge port cover on the bike.
2. Orient the charging cable to properly interface with the charging port.
3. Plug the charging cable into the charge port of the bike.
4. The LED on the charging cable will change from Red to Green once the battery charge is complete.
5. When the battery is fully charged, the top tube display will 100% and then turn off.
6. Unplug the charging cable from the charge port and secure the cover.

Follow these steps for charging the battery off the bike.
1. Place the battery and charging cable near a power outlet.
2. Plug the charging cable into the outlet and into the battery.
3. While charging, the LED on the charging cable will show as Red and the LED’s on the battery will be flashing Green.
4. The LED on the charging cable will change from Red to Green once the battery charge is complete.
5. All four LED’s on the battery will be Green once the charging is complete.
6. Unplug the charging cable from the battery and re-install battery on your bike.
