It’s no secret the journey to becoming a professional cyclist can be unforgiving: being away from home for months, traveling to unfamiliar places, training day in, day out. It’s even harder coming to Europe from nations traditionally underrepresented in the peloton. For the Canyon//SRAM Generation riders, living in Girona, as well as having a dependable and diverse support system, has made their experiences only positive.
By focusing more on development and team bonding, riders like Agua Marina Espinola, Nesrine Houili, Llori Sharpe and Daniela Schmidsberger gained strength as individual cyclists and together as part of the bigger team. Team Director, Adam Szabó, has fostered an environment of growth and support, encouraging riders to make mistakes and learn together.
