I removed one of the "Ski-Side Rails" on my 2013 Tesla Model S. I was shocked at how much dirt was packed in near the front. This is just behind the passenger side front tire.
The dirt gets into the pressure-relief "umbrella valves" and moisture can get into the battery pack, cause corrosion, and eventually prevent the car from driving.
