Solar and Time of Use Savings! (Electric Bill Nov. 2019)

I just switched over from standard billing to Time of Use billing and also have solar. How did it effect my bill? Watch the video!
Please click SHOW MORE!

My power utility offers a Time of Use plan. It’s a one year minimum commitment with Off-Peak rates of 6 cents per kWh and ON-Peak at 20 cents per kWh.
Peak Time is 8AM to 8PM and OFF-Peak is 8PM to 8AM AND weekends and holidays.
This can work out well for several reasons. We have an electric car and charge that at night, so all that is at off-peak rates.
We also have solar. That can offset what power we DO use during peak times.

Since installing my solar in 2017, savings on my electric bills have paid for about a third of my system.
