Recently, 𝐌𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐓 was confronted by an upset user operating an illegal PMA. We would like to make this clear:

👉 𝐌𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐓 has no intention of making anyone’s life difficult.
Our role is to educate and inform the public on mobility regulations that have largely been in place since 2023, and to help users stay safe, compliant, and protected.

At 𝐌𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐓, we support responsible and inclusive personal mobility. Upcoming regulatory changes are designed to enhance safety on shared paths, safeguarding both device users and pedestrians.

✔️ 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – All mobility scooters must be registered to strengthen accountability and enforcement
✔️ 𝐔𝐋𝟐𝟐𝟕𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 – Keeping non-UL2272-certified e-scooters will become an offence due to serious fire risks

* Existing motorised PMAs with maximum speed up to 10km/h may continue until end-2028 but must not exceed 6km/h on public paths. From 2029, all PMAs must have a maximum speed of 6km/h or less.
