Is a 10.5Ah eBike battery actually enough for real-world riding? I put the Euphree Solar Sparrow to the test to find out exactly how far its 48V 10.5Ah battery can take you.
The Solar Sparrow is a lightweight 750W electric bike designed more for casual cruising, Greenway rides, and everyday riding than high-performance speed. Since it’s significantly lighter than many of the 100+ lb eBikes I normally test, I wanted to see how much that lighter weight could help with battery range.
For this real-world eBike range test, I rode in Tour Mode / Pedal Assist 2, used the torque sensor, pedaled throughout the ride, and used the throttle whenever I wanted—basically riding the bike the way I normally would.
And the result?
👉 28 miles on a single 48V 10.5Ah battery, with the final miles using heavy throttle as I raced a storm back home. Under more conservative riding conditions, 30+ miles appears very realistic based on this test.
