Bicycle license? Ban bicycles from footpaths? Why are cyclists targeted? | Facebook Live 22042021

In this Facebook Live on 22/04/2021, we were honored to have Mr Steven Lim, President of Safe Cycling Task Force to join us. Mr Steven Lim is also a member of the Active Mobility Advisory Panel (AMAP). We are also very delighted to have Mr Denis Koh, Chairman of BWSS. Mr Denis Koh used to be a member of AMAP.

Discussion 1:
"Ban bicycles from pedestrian walkways, many said. But ban bicycles from roads too, others added."
Do you think this “ban” culture of resolving matters is justifiable?
Do you think such comments on social media represent the thoughts of the majority?

Discussion 2:
An article in Apr 2021 said that “6,500 drivers caught speeding on five roads in Sengkang in 18 months”. And people are not calling for cars to be ban in Sengkang.
Why do you think bicycles are particularly targeted?

Discussion 3:
There will always have “black sheeps”. For example, a person who litters is a “black sheep” because the majority of the population does not do that.
So one should responsible for his own actions and not let the rest of the people share the consequences of his actions.
Do you think the government has done enough?
What do you think the government should have done but did not do?
