Charging an Electric Car from another Electric Car! | DIY V2H | Solar

I figured out how to charge an electric car from ANOTHER electric car!

I’ve been experimenting with drawing power out through my car’s CHAdeMO fast charge port and running it through a solar inverter. I can then send that power into my garage breaker panel (while disconnected from the grid.)
As long as the electrical LOAD is higher than the power my micro-inverters can create, the solar can be on and will reduce the amount of AC power that the off-grid solar inverter needs to create.

In this case, it was late in the day, and my solar could produce around 3,000 watts. My older EV only charges at about 3,300.
I was able to create a "micro-grid" with the Solar City H6 inverter, power up the micro-inverters, and have the solar provide MOST of the power for charging!

Pretty cool, seeing as how micro-inverters normally shut down completely during a blackout situation!
