My 11-year-old daughter saw this go-kart for sale down the street and just had to have it! Please click SHOW MORE!
We found an old kart for sale. The engine doesn’t run, but probably just needs carburator work. Better than that, converting it to ELECTRIC would mean it would never need gasoline or oil again!
I still have the parts from my Kawasaki electric motorcycle conversion including a Briggs Etek electric motor. That will run at 48V and 150A continuous or 300-400A peak. (That’s 9-20 HP instead of the 3 HP gas engine already on the kart!)
I’ll try to chip away at this project as I can and give you updates.
