Are you looking for a way to make your CSC Monterey electric scooter more comfortable and practical? In this video, we’ll show you how to install two of the most popular accessories for the Monterey: a backrest and a front rack with a basket. These accessories will enhance your riding experience and give you more storage space for your belongings. You’ll need only a few simple tools and some basic skills to complete this easy project. Watch the video and follow the steps below to learn how to mount these accessories on your Monterey.
Steps:
– To mount the front rack, you’ll need a Phillips screwdriver and an 8 mm wrench. Remove the three fasteners on the front fender and use the long screw, spacer, and washer that come with the rack kit to attach it to the center hole. Then use the remaining screws to secure the rack to the side holes. Tighten all the fasteners with the wrench.
– To mount the basket, you’ll need a 10 mm wrench and some tubing to prevent vibration. Place the tubing over the outer edges of the rack and position the basket on top of it. Use the bolts and nuts that come with the basket to fasten it to the rack. You may need to adjust the position of the basket and tubing to fit your preference.
– To mount the backrest, you’ll need a 10 mm wrench and a 4 mm Allen wrench. Remove the passenger seat cushion by unscrewing the two bolts under it. Then use the same bolts to attach the backrest bracket to the seat frame. Make sure the bracket is aligned with the holes on the frame. Next, use the four screws and washers that come with the backrest kit to secure the backrest pad to the bracket. Tighten all the fasteners with the wrenches.
