Belt drives are quieter, cleaner, and more durable than chain drives. They don’t need lubrication or frequent adjustment, and they last longer without maintenance. They also reduce unsprung mass and friction, which improves handling and efficiency.
For the RX1E electric motorcycle, we decided to go with a belt drive system because we believe it offers a smoother, quieter, and more reliable ride for our customers. But that doesn’t mean you can neglect servicing your drive belt.
