The Bosch Performance Line CX delivers up to 85 newton-meters of torque across a wide cadence spectrum for a natural, smooth power delivery. As with all Bosch electric bicycle drive units, the Performance Line CX is a pedal-assist system, allowing the rider to choose how much support the motor provides. There is no throttle, and the electric motor only assists riders while pedalling. The Performance Line CX is a Class 1 drive unit, meaning that it can assist riders up to 20 mph.
