Standing as one of France’s most cherished cyclists, Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) boast an extensive record of victories.
After an impressive 13-year career, the French rider declared earlier in the year that 2023 marked his final season in the professional cycling arena.
In tribute to his remarkable achievements, Lapierre embarked on a mission to immortalize Thibaut Pinot’s racing legacy by painting two vibrant graffiti pieces directly onto the iconic Tour of Lombardy’s race track. A race that holds a special place in his heart, especially since he claimed it’s victory in 2018.
Prior to the race, the project was vandalized. Yet, with the unwavering support of a local family, the project was revived. Their belief in the tribute’s significance breathed new life into our mission.
Thanks to the community’s collective effort, we stood witness to Thibaut Pinot’s historic farewell race. As he crossed the finish line, our tribute stood tall, offering him a powerful symbol of our respect and admiration.
