Battery care & hibernation during the colder months is very important. Here are our top tips for keeping your battery in tip-top shape.
– To ensure optimal battery performance in cold weather, always charge and store your main battery at room temperature. Our battery management system prevents charging below 0°C to prevent permanent damage.
– Charge & store the main battery at room temperature.
– For extended life, maintain the main battery charge between 30-50%. No need to fully recharge your battery to 100% in between, but please avoid complete discharges.
– If you won’t use your Pro scooter in winter, activate hibernation mode on your Pro scooter to prevent the internal battery from depleting quickly. – This mode runs on the internal battery, so the main battery presence doesn’t matter.
– By hibernating the scooter, your scooter needs less energy, and is therefore saving battery power.
– Activate hibernation: You have three options to activate this feature on your Pro scooter: App, hibernation timer and manually
– App: Simply turn on Hibernation in the settings of the app
– Hibernation timer: This feature hibernates the scooter after being turned off for a set time, with 5 days as the default setting. You can adjust the timer of the automatic hibernation. You can choose between 1, 3, and 5 days, or turn the feature off entirely in the App.
– Manually: To activate, put the scooter in park mode, close the seat box, and press both brakes for 15 seconds until you see the hibernation screen. Confirm with your key card.
– The more charged the internal battery is, the longer it’ll last in hibernation. If you left the scooter with a fully charged internal battery, insert a full main battery after 2-3 months to allow the internal battery to recharge.
