The Legit LCW Rocket is a compact 20-inch electric bike with serious power. In this first ride and review, I put the 72V LCW Rocket through its paces to see how fast, smooth, stable, and powerful this little eBike really is.
The LCW Rocket features a 3,000W Bafang rear hub motor that can peak near 5,000 watts, dual 72V battery packs, dual suspension, double-crown forks, a DNM air shock, powerful hydraulic brakes, a dropper/suspension seat post, and 20-inch wheels.
And yes — this little bike gets close to 50 MPH.
In this video, I test the Rocket’s acceleration, top speed, braking, suspension, handling, ride comfort, and overall performance. I also compare some of the features that make the LCW Rocket different from other high-voltage electric bikes in the $2,700–$3,100 price range.

One of my favorite things about this bike is the centered battery placement. Keeping the battery mass in the frame makes the bike feel much more planted and stable compared with high-powered eBikes that put heavy batteries on the rear rack.
The suspension is another major standout. The LCW Rocket has an unusually smooth, plush ride, and the combination of the DNM air shock, double-crown forks, and suspension dropper post makes this 20-inch electric bike feel surprisingly comfortable.
The 72V Bafang motor is also extremely smooth and quiet. During testing, the bike reached approximately 50 MPH on the display, while GPS was a few MPH lower at higher speeds. Acceleration is strong enough to produce an unexpected power wheelie when you’re already rolling!
I also really like the oversized hydraulic brakes. With this much power and a bike weighing roughly 135–140 pounds, strong braking performance is extremely important.
If you’re shopping for a high-power 72V electric bike, a compact electric bike with a Bafang motor, or an eBike capable of approaching 50 MPH, the Legit LCW Rocket is definitely worth putting on your list.
