Working on my 2013 Tesla Model S, I begin removing the 16 modules from the pack.

The Tesla Model S has 16 individual sections in the battery pack. Here’s how I remove them, one at a time.
00:00 Introduction
00:10 The 3 Connections
00:30 Power Connections
01:34 BMS Connector
02:29 Coolant Lines
04:36 Prying and Lifting
07:00 Watch out for coolant!
08:00 3D Printed Stands
09:00 Conclusion
I designed and 3D-printed the stands to hold the modules on edge. I’m not much of a CAD designer, but if you want the file, you can find it at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7087323
A hunk of 2×4 with a slot cut in it with a table saw would probably work just as well!
I’m trying to improve my audio/video quality, while still making it easy to film while I work. I just got this microphone recently. It’s VERY easy to use and I think it sounds pretty good, but I’ll need to move the mic further from my mouth next time. I clipped it on my t-shirt collar, so it was too close.

I used silicone corks to plug up the coolant ports on the cell modules. I’m sure there’s other ways to do it, but this worked pretty good for me. I have these corks mostly to protect threaded holes while painting metal:
