Folks soon may be allowed to tool around Naperville Park District trails via electric bicycle.
The park board on Wednesday is scheduled modify district rules to permit slow-speed electric bicycles on park trails.
Director of Recreation Brad Wilson said the only type allowed will be pedal-assist electric bicycles, or Class 1 ebikes. They have pedals like any other bike, but are equipped with a motor of no more than 750 watts that can propel riders up to 20 mph…
