For your Qulbix off-road e-bike to serve you long and well, it is important to wash and service it regularly. This is a short video on how to wash and clean your Q140MD Core Race electric bike.
(1) Turn off your bike before you start the cleaning process (never charge your bike while cleaning it!);
(2) ! Check the motor cable inlet rubber seal. Do not proceed with using water if it is not installed properly. Proper sealing is crucial to prevent water to reach the inside of the bike’s frame which may cause irreparable damage to the bike;
(3) Check the side-plate seals. If there is a gap visible, retighten the side-plate bolts and/or change the side-plates’ seals.
(4) Do not soak your bike with too much with water;
(5) Do not use too much force on your pressure washer / use proper distance;
(6) Be careful to avoid spraying water directly onto sensitive areas, such as: key switch, display, cable out-lets, charge plug and motor axis, side plate gaps and all parts that include bearings;
(7) Use specialised cleaning agents;
(8) Do not leave the cleaning agents on your bike for too long (use cleaning agents’ instructions);
(9) Dry off your bike thoroughly, before you store it; if you do not have an air compressing machine, use a dry cloth to wipe off excess water and leave the bike in a dry and warm space to dry;
(10) Lube indicated areas with liquid grease, especially: free wheel, foot pegs/pedal axle bearings, rear shock bushings, chain, wheel bearings, head set bearing, kick-stand etc.
(11) Wipe off excess grease; clean the brake discs with disc cleaning agent.
(12) Periodically (preferably after any extensive wash/usage in wet environment) check the inside of the bike’s frame for water residues. To do that remove the right side-plate, disconnect and remove the battery pack and remove the foam padding. Check for any humidity/water residues. If there are any signs of water, leave out to dry. Read the bike’s manual for more details.
