In this review of the KBO Oasis cruiser electric bike we detail its strengths and weaknesses, what kind of ride experience to expect, and comments about its components and overall build. KBO did a decent job mixing affordable parts with a quality design in offering this wallet-friendly cruiser, currently priced in the $1200 range.
The Oasis has that cool cruiser look, with its mustache handlebar, fat cruiser tires, curving frame design and comfy seat. The handlebar reach and adjustable stem give an upright riding position, giving the rider a relaxed position for arm and hand placement, as well as allowing the rider to keep his/her back vertical and relaxed.
This e-bike was comfortable and fun to ride, even on long rides that were over 55 miles. The 720Wh battery gave good distances and should be able to take you 30 – 55 miles on a single charge. And the 500W hub drive motor delivers decent speed in the mid and upper PAS levels.
The top tube on this high step frame is curved downward as it reaches the seat post, giving shorter riders a slightly easier location to lift their legs up and over. This bike also comes as a step-thru frame, giving shorter riders an easier bike to hop on, as well as giving mobily-challenged riders an easier bike to mount as well.
