evo via YouTube

Squamish, BC is known as a mountain biking mecca—and for good reason. Tucked along the Sea-to-Sky Hwy, this legendary riding zone serves up everything from world-class flow trails to steep rock slabs and raw tech. Local ripper @alexsubias gives us a taste of his go-to after work loop, packed with classic Squamish features and unreal trail variety.

Trail name: Dirk’s Diggler

Area: Alice Lake & Highlands area, Squamish.

Biking style: high level advanced/ expert

Access: Park at Perth street (drive carefully and be respectful to the neighbors). It’s a fast and easy approach. A short, punchy climb with a solid access road that leads you to the entrance of this amazing trail.

Stats: Ascent is 1.5km with 80m of vertical from the car. Take Condor’s connector + Pia road for the easiest way back to the car. Round trip is about 4km with 140m of descent.

Condition: Since most of the trail goes down through a variety of excellent granite slabs, conditions on the trail are good most of the time.

“Dirk’s Diggler is perfect for a quick ride after work. It combines challenging single black with some optional uniquely shaped double black features. Since there are many lines and combinations you could ride, if it’s your first time riding, I’d recommend you stop and check the features to be able to get creative and choose your own adventure safely. Don’t forget to take a second at the top, take a deep breath and enjoy the views Find it on Trailforks or Gaia. Enjoy!!”
